Lars Bo (1924-1999) was a Danish graphic artist, illustrator and painter, known for his surreal and poetic works that often invoked fantastic visions. He was born in Kolding, Denmark, and received his artistic education in Copenhagen, where he began his career as a graphic designer. His work is characterized by a unique imagination that combines natural elements with fairy-tale and surrealistic depictions, which has earned his works international recognition.
Bo gained fame for his prints, which often depict unusual, dreamlike scenes, full of mysterious characters and symbolic elements. Many of his works have been used in illustrated books, but also in individual prints that have been exhibited around the world.
