Biography
He graduated with a degree in Architecture from the Warsaw University of Technology and, in 1962, with a degree in Graphic Arts from the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. Professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź and the European Academy of Arts in Warsaw. Juror at international biennials and competitions. He practices painting, fine and applied graphic arts, and drawing. His work is classified as geometric abstraction, executed with mathematical precision. His compositions consist of figures of identical size but varying in color. The artist has also explored the role of numbers in visual structure. He has held over 40 solo exhibitions in Poland and abroad. Major awards: 1974 - Bronze Medal at the 13th Joan Miró International Drawing Competition in Barcelona, 1979 Grand Prix - 2nd Polish Woodcut and Linocut Biennial in Olsztyn, 1999 - Gold Medal at the 12th Norwegian International Print Triennial, Fredrikstad.
