Biography
Joanna Mieszko was born in 1969 in Trzcinsko-Zdroj. She is a graduate of the State High School of Fine Arts in Szczecin and the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznan. She received her diploma in the sculpture studio of Prof. Józef Petruk in 1996. Her diploma work can be seen at Lake Malta in Poznań, in the park space of the Poznań Zoo - it is a set of sculptures in sandstone entitled "Struggles." Her artistic activities include sculpture, drawing, painting and photography. She has participated in a large number of exhibitions, organized open-air artistic actions at home and abroad. She works in metal, wood and stone. She collaborated with Edward Dwurnik from 2014 until the artist's death in 2018, creating extensive factual and artistic photographic documentation of this collaboration during this time. She curated the exhibitions of Edward Dwurnik in Szczecin: at the ZPAP Gallery "Kierat" (2014), twice at the Pomeranian Bookstore (2014. - "Athletes" series and 2018. - "Nobelists" and "Romantics" series under the title "Dwurnik's Book Collection"). Member of the Association of Authors ZAiKS and the Association of Polish Artists.
