Volume II (“Dramatic Poems”): Mindowe, King of Lithuania (first edition), Mary Stuart (first edition).
Volume III: *Lambro* (first publication) and the cycle *Poems Written During the Polish Revolution and After Its Fall*—including *Hymn*, Kulik, “Song of the Lithuanian Legion,” “Ode to Wacław Rzewuski,” “Paris,” “Hour of Reflection.”
The third volume includes the author’s preface, containing Słowacki’s telling words of complaint about the indifference of the Polish public in Paris toward the first two volumes of his work.
“In Paris, he published three volumes of poetry (1832–33), containing early poetic novels, poems, dramas, and lyric poetry. They did not arouse much interest among the émigré community, which was preoccupied mainly with political disputes. Moreover, Mickiewicz, already recognized at that time as the national poet, spoke of them reluctantly, calling Słowacki’s poetry a beautiful church in which there is no God.” Source: culture.pl.
