A detailed monograph of the Olkusz mint starting with the reasons for its location in Olkusz and ending with a very detailed catalog of coins minted there.
This mint is one of the more intriguing mints in Polish history. It was characterized by an excellent workshop, and it was in it that a number of today's rarest Polish coins were struck, including the spectacular thalers of Stefan Batory.
The 1580 vintage of its work is now widely regarded as collectibly the most interesting in the history of Polish minting.
The monograph, published in 1975 by the Polish Academy of Sciences, remains to this day the best study of the subject.
