A horizontal strip of three uncanceled 1-cent stamps from Newfoundland, with the left margin of the sheet intact.
The stamps are offered with a 1992 BPA certificate detailing their specifications: gray-brown variety, 12-per-line perforation, no watermark, most of the original gum preserved; on the left margin, a non-period pencil retouch recreating a fragment of the design, while on the center stamp, a pencil retouch has been made where the surface is worn. Certificate with a photograph bearing the signatures of the issuers/experts.
