50 złotych, 1794—Series C—watermark [J HONIG]—thick paper—BEAUTIFUL

50 złotych tax stamp from the Kościuszko Uprising, 1794, Series C, with a 5-digit serial number: 30589

A natural banknote, retaining the original texture of handmade paper, in very good condition. A rarer variant, featuring a fragment of the watermark in the paper in the form of the inscription [J HONIG]—the upper portion of the auxiliary watermark of the handmade paper manufacturer, who marked his product with the watermark: J HONIG & ZOONEN.

This piece features visible letters B and S, a dry seal that is perfectly legible, featuring the misspelling characteristic of this denomination in the word “NIEPO(Ł)EGŁOŚĆ,” as well as clearly visible signatures of the two commissioners, J. Klek and J. Gaczkowski.

An exceptionally attractive piece, with no tears in the paper within the print area, only slight creases in the center of the banknote; in the upper part, there is a small “glue mark” in the paper and a few small spots on the reverse side. The paper is dark burgundy in color and thick.
