Banknote20 marks 1940 of the Lodz Ghetto
Piece of the variety printed on paper without watermark, with numbering in red, numerator type 3, [range with initial digits 27XXXX -this variety is found only with such range of first two digits ].
Type 3 numerator, until recently considered fake, as a secondary overprint of the numerator (not in the era), made on the original banknote without overprinted numbering, the so-called waste paper. Today, in light of research, this numerator considered original, made in the era, with the end of the issue of the denomination 20 marks 1940 Lodz Ghetto.
A beautiful piece, confirmed by a solid PMG grading note.
Literature : Miłczak L6d - marked in the catalog as a banknote with the numerator applied secondarily.
