Barbaresco, Piedmont
Comments
The history of Castello di Neive dates back to the 18th century. Today, the estate belongs to the Stupino family and is one of the most important in the municipality of Barbaresco. The owner family's commitment to classics and tradition, combined with careful and attentive work, makes the producer's wines appreciated not only by lovers of Piedmontese wines.
The wines of Castello di Neive are elegant and rich, combining in their bouquets notes of ripe fruit, sweet aromas of flowers and spiciness of oak barrels. They are matured for a long time in Slavonian oak barrels. The producer also indulges in the benefits of modern winemaking, which he combines with a traditional approach in his wines. We don't feel that this masks the true character of the Barbaresco municipality.
