Formal Uniform of the Polish Army Veterans Association in America—Gen. Haller Post 111, New Britain, USA

A formal uniform of a member of Post No. 111, named after General Józef Haller, in New Britain, Connecticut, which belongs to the Polish Army Veterans Association in America.
The set consists of a uniform jacket and trousers made of gray-blue fabric. The jacket fastens with four large metal buttons featuring the Polish eagle. The sleeve bears an embroidered patch reading “GEN. HALLER POST 111 – NEW BRITAIN.” The epaulets, cuffs, and pocket flaps are trimmed with green piping. A decorative ceremonial cord in the Polish national colors runs along the shoulder.
The pants feature green piping running along the legs and fasten with a zipper and plastic buttons. Inside the jacket, tags from the American manufacturer Nagson Uniforms, Kensington, Connecticut, indicating size 42, have been preserved.
The uniform dates to the second half of the 20th century. It serves as an interesting memento of the activities of Polish veteran communities in the United States, which carry on the traditions of the Polish Army in France—General Józef Haller’s Blue Army.
