Biography
Studied at the Faculty of Painting of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow in the studios of Prof. Eugeniusz Eibisch, Prof. Jerzy Fetkowicz and Prof. Wacław Taranczewski. He received his diploma in 1953 He lives and works in Katowice. Significant exhibitions in the artist's work began with his participation in the Exhibition of Young Visual Arts "Arsenal" in 1955 in Warsaw. Since then he has held more than a dozen solo exhibitions. He participated in group exhibitions at home and abroad. He is the recipient of many awards and prizes. The summary of forty years of activity was a retrospective exhibition at the BWA in Katowice in 1993. Works in the collections of Museums of Wroclaw, Szczecin, Bytom, Gliwice, Silesian Museum in Katowice, "Zachęta" Society in Warsaw and private collections in Germany, England, Sweden, Holland, among others.
